GENEVA, OHIO - The St. Bonaventure men's swimming and diving team maintained 1st place after the second day of competition at the 2013 Atlantic 10 Championships held at the Spire Institute Thursday night.

The Brown and White with 249.5 points hold a 42.5-point lead over Xavier (207) with Massachusetts coming in third place with 204 points. Rounding out the men's scoring is George Washington (160), Saint Louis (149), La Salle (145.5) and Fordham (131).

In the 500-yard freestyle, Vatslav Lets touched in at 4:23.90 for a first-place finish. Elias Homerin came in at 4:31.38 and tied for a sixth-place finish.

In the 200-yard IM, Ripley Danner took first-place with a time of 1:49.20.

Mike Murphy took first place in the 1-meter board with a score of 287.00. Alex Marra took fifth place with a score of 233.65.

In the 50-yard freestyle, Viacheslav Shchukin touched in at 20.31 for a second-place finish, Jimmy Martin came in at 20.34 for a third-place finish and David Paccapaniccia took 13th place with a time of 21.03.

A team of Shchukin, Martin, Michael Pilyugin and Nathan Destree teamed up to take first-place with a time of 1:21.18.

The Brown and White will begin its third day of competition at the A-10 Championships beginning at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow with the prelims followed by the finals at 6:30 p.m.
