St. Bonaventure's men's cross country team finished in eighth place out of nine teams in the University of Albany Invitational on Saturday.
Middlebury won the team title with a score of 44 followed by Albany (48), RPI (64), Siena (95), Manhattan (141), Colgate (156), Plattsburgh (209), St. Bonaventure (221) and Nyack (282).
Senior Harley Thompson finished 30th to lead the Bonnies. Thompson's time was 26:38. Classmate Joe Ferencik ended 45th in 27:23 followed by senior Nick Masiello in 46th in a time of 27:25.
Freshman Ben Collins placed 49th in 28:10 while junior Nick Konotopsky was 51st in 28:42.
Non-scorers for the Bonnies were senior Steve Kibbe, who ended 55th in 29:39 and freshman Justin Ryan, who was 56th in 29:54.
Next Up: The Bonnies' next race will be the Atlantic 10 Championship on Nov. 1 in Pittsburgh.
