@BonniesXC Men's Team Runs at Northeast Regionals

The St. Bonaventure men's cross country team concluded its season Friday, finishing 38th in the Northeast Regional meet at Van Cortland Park in the Bronx. 

Syracuse took home the team title with 45 total points to lead the field of 39 teams. St. Bonaventure finished with a score of 1,164. Iona's Jake Byrne captured the individual title, finishing the 10K race in a time of 30:26.12.

Top finisher for the Bonnies was Joe Ferencik. The junior finished 197th overall with a time of 33:40.05. Senior Harley Thompson was right behind him, finishing his collegiate career with a time of 34:15.79 and a 224th place finish. Rounding out the top three for Coach Bob Macfarlane's team was freshman Ben Collins. Collins crossed the finish line 229th with a final time of 34:20.55.

St. Bonaventure's other three runners finished as follows: senior Steve Kibbe finished 256th (36:37.51), junior Nick Konotopskyj finished 258th (36:55.19) and freshman Justin Ryan finished 260th (37:35.18).
