The Bonnies would extend that lead in the fifth. Phillips led off the inning with a line drive double to left center and later scored when Thad Johnson singled through the middle to give St. Bonaventure the 2-0 lead.

How It Happened:
- St. Bonaventure broke the scoreless tie in the third inning. Randy Delanoy led off the inning with an infield single. Advanced to third on a sac bunt and a wild pitch and scored when Cole Peterson reached safely on a fielding error by the Fordham first baseman.
- The Bonnies would extend their lead in the fifth. Aaron Phillips led off the frame with a hard hit double to left center. He was advanced to third when Cole Peterson laid down a sacrifice bunt, and later scored when Thad Johnson drilled a single through the middle to extend the lead to 2-0.
- Fordham would answer in their half of the fifth. A bases loaded walk forced in the first Rams run to cut the Bonnies lead in half.
- Fordham would draw even in the sixth. With runners on second and third a groundball to Peterson at short plated the tying run.
- Fordham took the lead in the eighth. With a runner on third, a line drive to center was mis-played by Bell in center soaring over his head for an RBI triple. That runner would come in on a grounder to second beating the throw to home.
- St. Bonaventure was unable to get anything going in their half of the ninth inning. Falling to Fordham 4-2.
- Leading the Bonnies offensively were Ted Dilts and Tyler Walter. Both were 2-4 in the game with a double. Peterson and Johnson had the RBI for the Bonnies
