White Leads @BonneisMSwim Past Niagara 148-93

The St. Bonaventure men's swimming and diving team defeated the Niagara Purple Eagles Saturday afternoon by a final score of 148-93.

Junior Michael White led St. Bonaventure on Saturday. White took home to titles on the afternoon, which included a first place finish in the 200-yd freestyle (1:45.51) and the 100-yd butterfly (51.23).

Other event winners for St. Bonaventure were Ben Galisnki in the 1,000-yd freestyle (10:02.81), Michael Pilyugin int eh 100-yd freestyle (47.72), Matt Taccard in the 100-yd backstroke (53.56) and Preston Schilling in the 100-yd breastroke.

The Bonnies won both the 200-yd medley relay. The team of Michael Pilyugin, Preston Schilling, Michael White and Jordan Powers swam a winning time of 1:35.52. In the 200-yd freestyle relay the team of Pilyugin, Matthew Goettler, Logan Hellwig and Robert Marshall swam a winning time of 1:27.54.

NEXT UP: The Bonnies will return home Friday February 5th to take on the University of Buffalo. This will be the last meet of the season before the Bonnies compete in the Atlantic 10 Championships starting February 17th in Ganeva, Ohio.
