The St. Bonaventure Bonnies (0-3) fell to the Central Michigan Chippewas (1-2), 10-0, in game one of a two-game set on Saturday, Feb. 13, at the Mercer University Invitational.

CMU claimed runs in the first and third innings, and exploded for four runs in the fifth inning to go up 6-0. After taking on another run in the top of the sixth, the Chippwas went up 10 with a three-run homerun.

The Bonnies earned just two hits from the plate, as CMU's Hanna Warren went the distance in the circle. Kelli Rohan and Emily Belfield each had a hit for the Bonnies, both singles.

Josie Borysevicz started the game for the Bonnies in the circle, dealing 4.1 innings. Kristen Hickling came in in relief and tossed 1.2 innings, and Molly Hennessy threw the final inning for SBU.

With the loss, the Bonnies will play the tournament's No. 1 seeded Pittsburgh Panthers.

Game 2: Box Score (PDF)

The St. Bonaventure Bonnies (0-4) fell to the Pittsburgh Panthers (4-0), 9-1, in their second game of the day.

Pittsburgh jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning with two RBI doubles, a two-run single and an unearned run.

The Brown and White got their offense in the top of the fourth. Emily McDonough worked a walk and moved to third on a double from Katie Sinclair. McDonough crossed the plate on a wild pitch the very next at bat to make it a 5-1 Pittsburgh lead.

Pittsburgh responded in a big way in the bottom of the fourth as they tacked on three more runs. An RBI double and a two-run homerun made it an 8-1 Panther lead.

The Panthers added another run in the bottom of the fifth to go up by eight runs and end the game.

Carly Bilchak started the game in the circle for the Bonnies and tossed 4.0 innings. She was relieved by Jasmine Petrishin, who pitched the fifth inning.

Sinclair's double served as the only Bona hit in the contest.
