Women's Swimming Hosts Binghamton on Senior Day

STORYLINE
The St. Bonaventure University women's swimming and diving team hosts Binghamton on Sunday afternoon at the Reilly Center Pool in the final home event of the 2017-18 season.

LAST TIME OUT
The Bonnies were defeated by Buffalo on Friday afternoon, 203-97, in their first action after the holiday break. Maria Rocchi and Devon McFadden scored individual wins for the Brown and White.

ABOUT BINGHAMTON
The Bearcats enter Sunday's meet with a 4-1 record in dual meets. Binghamton has won four straight dual meets after falling to Vermont on Oct. 7. They have scored wins against Canisius, Niagara, Colgate and Siena this season.

SENIOR DAY
Before the meet on Sunday, St. Bonaventure will honor its five seniors on this year's team. Alyssa Levac, Devon McFadden, Maria Rocchi, Michaela Ryan and Emily Wulff will be honored for their time and dedication to the women's swimming program the past four years.

Alyssa Levac is a four-year member of the swimming program. She competed at the Atlantic 10 Championships in each of her first three seasons. As a junior, she broke a program record in the 200-breaststroke (2:17.06) at the Zippy Invite and was also named to the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll.

Devon McFadden set the school record in the 200-backstroke (1:59.09) and 100-backstroke (55.62) at the Atlantic 10 Championships a season ago. She also broke her own school record in the 200-IM (2:02.80) during the prelims of the A-10 Championships and was also a member of the 400-medley relay team (3:46.97) that broke a program record at Championships. As a senior, she swam the first leg in the 200-medley relay (1:43.64) that shattered a school record at the Zippy Invite.

Maria Rocchi has competed at the Atlantic 10 Championships in each of her first three seasons. As a sophomore, she was named to the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll. At the A-10 Championships her junior season, she set a personal best time in the 200-breaststroke. As a senior, she has set personal bests in the 200-IM and the 500-freestyle.

Michaela Ryan is a four-year member of the swimming program. She has competed at the Atlantic 10 Championships in each of her first three seasons for the Bonnies. Michaela was named to the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll in her sophomore and junior seasons.

Emily Wulff is a four-year member of the swimming program. Emily has competed at the Atlantic 10 Championships in her first three seasons for the Bonnies. In her sophomore season, she swam personal best times in the 100-breaststroke, 200-breaststroke and 200-IM at the A-10 Championships.

UP NEXT
The women's swimming and diving team travels to Cornell on Jan. 19 for a dual meet against the Big Red. Diving is set to start at 12:00 p.m. and the swimming portion will begin at 4:00 p.m.
