CLEVELAND, Ohio – Alexander Behr and Maxwell Murray each earned an event victory for the St. Bonaventure men's swim and dive team Saturday afternoon at the Cleveland State Tri-Meet.

St. Bonaventure competed against host Cleveland State and Kenyon.

Behr scored the first victory of the afternoon for the Bonnies in the 200-butterfly, registering a time of 1:52.75. Freshman Boray Goren finished fourth in the event with a time of 1:57.22.

The second-year swimmer also placed second in the 100-butterfly (49.97) and third in the 100-freestyle (47.35).

Murray, the reigning Atlantic 10 Performer of the Week, showed the way for St. Bonaventure in the 500-freestyle with a winning time 4:43.09.

In the 1000-freestyle, Murray swam a time of 9:45.47 to pick up a second-place finish. He completed his afternoon with a fourth-place finish in the 200-IM (1:57.32).

Senior Nicholas Nakaya notched a third-place finish in the 100-breaststroke (58.45) and a fourth-place time in the 200-breaststroke (2:09.95).

In 200-backstroke, freshman Luigi Termine finished fourth by touching the wall in a time of 1:53.86.

On the diving boards, Ben Giera finished with a score of 310.73 to place first in the 1-meter dive, while Davis Hutchinson (252.53) and Lucas Dekaney (249.00) placed second and third.

In the 3-meter dive, Dekaney claimed victory with a score of 278.03, followed by Giera (250.28)and Hutchinson (233.48).

Senior Tomas Botero recorded a pair of fifth-place finishes for the Brown and White in the 200-freestyle (1:44.31) and the 500-freestyle (4:48.91).

The Bonnies will compete in the Atlantic 10 Invitational on Oct. 29-30, beginning with the diver's competition at 11:00 a.m. Saturday.
