FAIRFAX, Va. — The St. Bonaventure men's swim and dive team collected a fourth-place finish at the three-day Patriot Invitational hosted by George Mason. Junior Alexander Behr highlighted the Bonnies trip to Virginia by earning a win and a pair of second-place finishes. 
 
Behr earned three trips to the podium. He touched the wall in 47.74 in the 100-butterfly to take second in that event. Behr continued to collect points for the Bonnies with another second-place finish in the 100-backstroke. 
 
Behr's best performance came on Saturday evening when he secured a win in the 200-butterfly with a time of 1:46.60. That is the fastest time in the Atlantic 10 this season. 
 
The Bonnies relays contributed to the team score, earning top-five finishes in the 200-free, 400-medley, 200-medley, and 400-free races. 
 
Senior Maxwell Murray and grad student Sam Matthews boosted the team points total with top-10 finishes in their respective events. Murray finished seventh in the 500-freestyle and fourth in the 1650-freestyle, while Matthews was seventh in the 50-freestyle and fourth in the 100-freestyle. 
 
In diving action, sophomore Ben Giera was the top performer for the Bonnies. With a score of 282.15 in the 3-meter dive, he took home a second-place finish. In the 1-meter event, he finished with a score of 289.60 and a third-place result. 
 
The Bonnies head to Buffalo for a dual meet with Little Three rival Canisius on Dec. 5.
