GENESEO, N.Y. – Freshman Adria Magnusson set a new school record in the 800 meters to highlight the first outdoor competition of the spring for the St. Bonaventure women's track team Sunday afternoon at the Geneseo Early Season Invitational.

Magnusson clocked in at 2:22.70 to clip the previous school record of 2:22.99 held since 2018 by Rachel Guyer. That effort placed the first-year Bonnie third in Sunday's event out of 45 competitors, just off the winning time of 2:20.33.

Freshmen Mia Winters and Molly Gipson became the first Bonnies to run a women's 3000-meter steeplechase race, and Winters just beat her teammate with a time of 11:51.81 while Gipson finished in 11:54.95.

Olivia Ippolito ran a top-10 program time in the 1500 as well, posting her collegiate-best mark of 5:08.40 to jump to seventh in the school record book. She also PR'ed in the 800 at 2:33.55, winning her heat race Sunday for that event.

The Bonnies are back in action Saturday, April 15 at the Brockport Invitational.
