ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The St. Bonaventure women's track team competed in its final tune-up for Atlantic 10 championships Saturday afternoon at the St. John Fisher Cardinal Invite.

Julia Wyant bested her own school record time in the 200 meters as she crossed the finish line in 26.56, just better than her previous mark of 26.62 set earlier this spring.

Jayne Gavin also posted a new top time in the 10K (41:33.59).

Meghan Litteer led the Bonnies in the 100 meters with a personal best time of 13.19.

In the steeplechase, Mia Winters placed fifth at 11:26.44.

QUOTES FROM HEAD COACH BOB MACFARLANE
"The team battled cold, windy and rainy conditions, but delivered a strong finish filled with standout efforts. Jayne Gavin secured her spot at A-10 Championships in the 10K and Elise Brooks shattered her personal best in the 5K with a 40-second improvement, also qualifying for A-10s. We now look ahead to A-10 Championships next weekend at George Mason with 32 qualified athletes, the largest in our outdoor track history."

"As for our graduating seniors, I want to take a moment to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your dedication, perseverance, and relentless hard work have not only elevated our team but have inspired everyone around you. From early mornings to late nights, you showed up with grit and heart, always pushing yourselves and each other to be better. You've left a mark that won't be forgotten—on the xc course and track, in the locker room, and in our hearts.

"I am incredibly proud of all you've accomplished and even more excited to see where your journey takes you next. Wherever you go, carry that same fire and spirit that made you great here."
