FORT WORTH, Texas – St. Bonaventure men's lacrosse alum Jackson Rose has signed a multi-year contract to play professionally with Panther City Lacrosse Club of the National Lacrosse League.
Rose, who played four seasons with the Bonnies and graduated following the 2022 campaign, was drafted in the sixth round (94th overall) in last year's NLL Draft by Panther City.
Panther City Lacrosse Club plays their home games in Fort Worth, Texas and began play as an expansion team during the 2021-22 season. In just their second season, Panther City finished 10-8 last year and third in the Western Conference, qualifying for the NLL Playoffs.
In 42 career games with St. Bonaventure, Rose tallied 63 points (58G/5A), including a 40-goal season in his senior year with the Bonnies in 2022, en-route to All-MAAC Second Team honors. His 40 goals as a senior represent the most in a season by any Bonnies player while his 58 career goals rank third in program history.
Rose played a post-graduate season with Marquette in 2023.
For Rose, the return to Texas is a trip home – he's a Lakeway, Texas native who was one of 18 Texas players to be named a 2018 U.S. Lacrosse All-American selection before beginning his collegiate career.
