BUFFALO — Ben Giera and Ben O'Neill represented St. Bonaventure at the UB Diving Invite this weekend. The event was cut down from three days to two due to impending inclement weather in the Buffalo area. 
 
In the first two days of competition, Giera and O'Neill both posted season highs in the 1-meter dive. 
 
Giera recorded a score of 295.75 to beat out his teammate and best his previous season-best of 292.65 from the team's season-opener at Penn State. 
 
O'Neill followed with a score of 286.35 while averaging 47.73 per round. His previous best in a final round was also at Penn State where he scored 256.13. In the preliminary round at the Patriot Invitational, he scored 261.15. 
 
In the preliminary round of the 3-meter dive, Giera tallied 232.7 while O'Neill followed with 212.90. No final round was conducted due to the cancelation of the final day of competition.
 
The Bonnies return to action Jan. 27 in the Reilly Center to host Canisius as the full swim and dive squads take on the Griffs for Senior Day. Diving is scheduled for 10 a.m. with swimming to follow at 1 p.m.
