Eight men's swimming and diving seniors will be honored at their meet Saturday.

Men's Swimming and Diving Hosts Canisius for Senior Day

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. — The St. Bonaventure men's swimming and diving team is set to host Canisius for Bona's last event inside the Reilly Center Pool this season. Diving is set for 10 a.m., followed by the swimmers at 1:15 p.m. 
 
Prior to the swimming events, the team will honor its eight graduating seniors, Tanner Falls, Kyle Gluck, Jaxon Kaster, Teddy Murphey, Maxwell Murray, Michael Pietrucha, Zachary Titus, and Tommy White
 
SENIOR SPOTLIGHT 
Tanner Falls is in his first year with the swimming program. During his season with the Brown and White, he has been a key contributor picking up wins in the 100- and 200-freestyle against Youngstown State, helping the 200-free relay to victory at Cornell, and winning the 100-free at Canisius. He also tallied a third-place finishes in the 100-freestyle at Penn State and Niagara. He is pursuing his MBA at St. Bonaventure. 
 
Zachary Titus is a four-year member of the swimming program. He earned a win at Niagara in the 200-backstroke in his freshman season, along with a pair of second-place finishes in the 500-free and 200-medley relay. He was a member of the 200-freestyle relay that placed third against Cornell in his junior year. In his senior season, he has tallied a second-place finish in the 100-free against Le Moyne and a fourth-place finish in the same event at Canisius. He was also a member of the runner-up 200-free relay team against Le Moyne. He is pursuing his degree in sports management. 
 
Michael Pietrucha is a four-year member of the program. In his first year with the program, he posted a fourth-place finish at Niagara in the 100-breaststroke. He followed that with a third-place finish in the same event at Niagara in his sophomore season with a time of 1:01.92. As a junior, he helped the 200-medley relay to a runner-up finish against Canisius. Pietrucha has been on the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll in each year of his career while pursuing a degree in sports media. 
 
Tommy White is a four-year member of the swimming program. He captured a third-place finish in the 200-butterfly at Niagara in his freshman season. He finished third at Canisius in the 100-butterfly the following year with a time of 53.11. As a junior, he was the runner-up in the 100-fly against Canisius and in the 50-freestyle against Gannon. He also placed fourth in the Colgate Invitational with a time of 52.20 in the 100-fly. He has been selected to the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll in each year of his career while pursuing a degree in business administration. 
 
Jaxon Kaster is a four-year member of the swimming program. At the 2021 Atlantic 10 Championships, he recorded a 16th-place finish in the 200-butterfly with a time of 1:53.38. He followed that with a ninth-place finish the following year at A-10 Championships. In his junior year, he placed sixth at the Colgate Invitational and fifth at Cornell in the 200-fly. He has been on the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll each year of his career while working toward a degree in business administration. 
 
Kyle Gluck is a four-year member of the program. At the 2022 Atlantic 10 Championship, he helped the 200-medley relay team to a fourth-place finish. During that season, he also tallied victories in the 50-freestyle against Canisius and Gannon. In his sophomore season, he came in 12th in the consolation final of the 100-freestyle at A-10 Championships and in his freshman year he helped the 200-free relay to fourth at the event. Gluck has been on the Commissioner's Honor Roll every year and is working toward his degree in business administration. 
 
Maxwell Murray is a four-year member of the swimming program. He is a three-time Atlantic 10 Championship medalist. At the 2023 meet, he finished as the runner-up in the 500-freestyle while setting a new program record with a time of 4:22.92. He also earned a third-place finish in the 1650-freestyle and took down a program record that stood for over 25 years. He also recorded an eighth-place finish at last year's championship in the 200-freestyle. In his sophomore season, he also took bronze in the mile race at A-10 championships and took home a tenth-place finish in the 500-freestyle. This year, Murray set two pool records at Niagara's Oxy Aquatics Center in the 200- and 500-freestyle. Murray has twice been named the Atlantic 10 Performer of the Week. He is completing his degree in business administration. 
 
Teddy Murphey is a four-year member of the program. At the 2023 Atlantic 10 Championship meet, he finished 15th in the consolation final of the 200-breaststroke. He finished the same during the 2022 A-10 Championship meet in his sophomore year. Murphey also placed third at the Colgate Invitational in the 200-breast and second in the same event against Gannon last season. In 2023, he was selected to the Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team. He is studying mathematics and computer science. 
 
NOTES
  • The last time the swimming team saw action was on Dec. 5 in Buffalo against Canisius when they dominated the Griffins, 152-75. 
  • The team posted eight individual event victories and two relay wins. The Bonnies swept the 200- free podium with Maxwell Murray (1:41.91), Tanner Falls (1:42.45), and Alexander Behr (1:43.29) finishing one, two, three. 
  • Divers Ben Giera (295.75) and Ben O'Neill (286.35) participated in the UB Diving Invite Jan. 12 when both Giera and O'Neill posted season highs in the 1-meter dive. 
  • The Brown and White have one more event before Atlantic 10 Championships at Duquesne for a tri-meet with the Dukes and Clarion.
