Welcome to "Behind The Bonnies," a new GoBonnies.com series where we get to know the student-athletes at St. Bonaventure University. In this edition, we meet Bonnies junior swimmer Luigi Termine. For previous installments in the series click here.
Last season, Luigi Termine earned a bronze medal in the 100-backstroke at the Atlantic 10 Championships with a time of 48.39. In the same championships, Termine placed ninth in the 200-backstroke with a time of 1:47.67.Â
As a freshman, Termine was a member of the 200-medley team that finished fourth at the 2023 A-10 championships. The Lugagnano Di Sona, Italy native also placed eighth in the 100-backstroke with a time of 49.86 in the same championships. Termine earned a spot on the A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll in his freshman season.

What is your favorite memory playing your sport? When I won a medal at A-10s
What is your favorite hobby to do outside of playing your sport? DJing and singing while in the shower
Where is your dream vacation spot? Fuerteventura (one of Spain's Canary Islands)
What is the best part about being a part of your Bonnies team? Being in a family
What is your favorite sports team and who is your favorite athlete? Inter Milan and Buffalo Bills, Federico di Marco and Josh AllenÂ
Why did you choose St. Bonaventure? I got a good impression about the teamÂ
You can bring any four people to dinner, who are you inviting? My grandparentsÂ
What is your favorite quote from your Coach? "I only train tough people and I'm glad that I'm training you guys."
Where is your favorite place you've traveled with the team? Miami
If you could live inside one TV show/movie what would it be? The Truman Show
What is your favorite social media app and why? TikTok because there is always something funnyÂ
If you weren't playing your sport, what other sport would you most like to play? Beach volleyball and soccerÂ
