The GoBonnies.com Student-Athletes of the Week presented by CPL for the week ending Feb. 4 are men's track freshman Riley Dillon and women's track sophomore Mia Winters.
Dillon was part of three school records at the Youngstown State Mid-Major Invitational on Saturday.
He gave the Bonnies a new school record in the 200 meters as he posted 23.82 to nip the previous high mark of 23.89 set by Christian Figueroa a week ago at RIT.
The 4x400 relay team also clocked in another Bona's best: Dillon, Figueroa, Kieran Ryan and Alex Ryan set a time of 3:31.27 to go to the top of the school record book.
Dillon was part of a third record to close his incredible meet with the top SBU time in the 400 at 51.47. Figueroa also moves to second with his run of 51.92.
Winters emphatically scored another school best mark in the 3000 meters for the women's team.
Winters, who surpassed her old school record by less than half a second last week, left no doubt this time around as she crossed the stripe in 10:37.07 to crush her own program-best time by over 17 seconds. She also finished second in the race among all collegiate team athletes behind only Kayla Schmidt of Canisius who had a winning time of 10:17.15. Kassandra Nolet finished first in the race running unattached at 10:12.97.
St. Bonaventure returns to the Buckeye State Saturday at the Spire Institute Indoor Invitational in Geneva, Ohio.
