ROCHESTER – The St. Bonaventure men's outdoor track team posted two new school records while battling cold and blustery conditions Sunday at the University of Rochester Invitational.

Freshman Cameron Ogletree established a new top time in the Bona record book for the 100 meters as he clocked in at 11.33, bettering the 11.51 he registered a week earlier in Bucknell.

The relay team of Christian Figueroa, Henry Morris, Aidan Hurley and Riley Dillon also posted a new Bona's 4x400 record time at 3:23.84, breaking the old top mark set by Figueroa, Hurley and Dillon along with Kieran Ryan at 2024 Atlantic 10 Championships (3:25.59) by nearly two full seconds.

Senior Christian Figueroa also won the 400 meters at 50.33 while junior teammate Riley Dillon came in third at 50.63 out of 17 starters in Sunday's meet. Figueroa also showed strong in the 200 as he logged the third-fastest time of the day (22.54).

Junior Joshua Lopez was near the front of the pack in the 800 as he placed fourth with a run of 1:58.26 out of 27 competitors. Freshman Jackson Frisa also recorded a personal best by finishing sixth at 2:00.14.

In the steeplechase, freshman Jack Handman improved on his previous best time of the spring by over 12 seconds as he finished second at 10:15.93.

"The teams battled rain, snow and sleet, but despite the conditions they came away with some solid times. It was a tough day weather-wise, but a day of progress for us. Despite the challenging conditions, the men delivered a strong performance across all event groups, highlighted by multiple personal bests and continued progress as the season builds.

"The sprint group set the tone early with competitive efforts across the board. Christian Figueroa led the way while Riley Dillon continues to add valuable depth to the sprint squad with strong performances.

"In the mid-distance events, Josh Lopez is setting himself up to be a force while Brecken Riley, Lucas Catarella and Jackson Frisa are continuing to find their niche in the 800.

"The distance crew was led by Casey Malloy and Sam Tomm. Freshman Nate Viele had an outstanding performance as well, recording a 24-second personal best. Overall, it was a day that showcased the team's toughness and commitment."
