The St. Bonaventure University men's soccer team, fresh off an unbeaten three-game homestand, looks to carry momentum back into conference play when it travels to take on Rhode Island Saturday, Sept. 28.
Kickoff is slated for 7:00 p.m. in Kingston, R.I.
LAST TIME OUT
The Bonnies defeated Robert Morris Tuesday afternoon on home turf, 2-1, behind senior Andres Javitt's game-winning goal in the 87th minute.
Redshirt junior Mattia Ferretti played a cutback pass to Javitt on the left side of the box and the senior bicycle kicked the ball past the goalkeeper and into the back of the net.
Robert Morris tied the contest moments before that in the 82nd minute after being awarded a penalty kick.
Senior Kenzo Brito netted his first goal of the season in the 17th minute, opening the scoring and giving the Bonnies an early 1-0 lead.
IN THE RANKS
Junior goalkeeper Nicolas Pucci enters the weekend atop the Atlantic 10 in saves with 32 this season. Pucci also ranks second in goalkeeper minutes (720) and saves per game (4.0).
Javitt ranks fourth in goals (3) and points (9).
WHAT'S AHEAD
The Bonnies face a stretch of three out of four Atlantic 10 games on the road starting Saturday at Rhode Island. Following the matchup against the Rams, the Bonnies return home to host Davidson (Oct. 5) before traveling to George Washington (Oct. 9) and La Salle (Oct. 12).
RHODE ISLAND NOTES
Rhode Island enters Saturday's contest 5-1-2 overall and 0-1-0 to begin Atlantic 10 play. The Rams are coming off a 2-1 victory over UAlbany Tuesday while also capturing wins over St. John's (2-0), Quinnipiac (1-0), Stonehill (1-0) and Providence (1-0). Rhody kicked off A-10 play Sept. 20 with a 2-0 loss to VCU. The Rams were picked to finish ninth in the Atlantic 10 preseason poll.
Patrick Gryczewski leads the Rams offensively with five points on two goals and an assist. Brandon Bermingham and Joan Sanchis have netted two goals each. In net, Edu Rodriguez has made six starts between the sticks, making 29 saves.

The Bonnies return home to host Davidson Saturday, Oct. 5. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. at the Marra Athletics Complex.
