The St. Bonaventure women's lacrosse team looks to build on a 2-0 start to Atlantic 10 Conference play as they host Richmond Saturday at Noon.

LAST TIME OUT
The Bonnies secured a 22-10 victory at Rhode Island to move to 2-0 in Atlantic 10 play. Five different Bonnies,
Tori Nascimento,
Fiona McGovern,
Rylee Gonzalez,
Sidney Van Tassel, and
Brooke Piper, scored four or more points in the opening road game of conference play.
Katelyn Hicks posted 14 saves in the victory with a .583 save percentage.

RANKING NATIONALLY
Coming into the week,
Katelyn Hicks' save percentage of .518 ranks 11th among Division I players and first in the Atlantic 10. She is also first in the A-10 in goals against average (9.03) and 13 in D-I in GAA. The defense as a whole ranks 14
th in the nation, surrendering just 9.11 goals per game.
Megan Schillinger is sixth in D-I in draw controls per game, averaging 10.33. She is second in the A-10 behind Massachusetts' Jordan Dean (10.75). As a team, the Bonnies rank first in the conference and sixth in D-I in draw control percentage, winning 63.4 percent of their draws.
ATLANTIC 10 ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Van Tassel was named the Atlantic 10 Conference Rookie of the Week following her four point performance at Rhode Island Saturday. Van Tassel netted her first career hat trick in the contest on three shots. She also added an assist for a career-high four points. The Vernon, N.J. native leads Bona's rookies with 10 points on the year, adding eight draw controls and three caused turnovers.

IN THE CIRCLE
Schillinger has been elite in the draw circle this season for the Bonnies. Through nine games this year, the junior has set a single-season program record for draw controls with 93, surpassing the previous mark of 68 set by teammate
Brooke Piper last year. Schillinger currently has 171 career draw controls in 44 games played, 24 off the Bona's all-time record of 195 held by Courtney Gibbons.

Tori Nascimento is having a career season through the first nine games of 2025. Nascimento has set a career high in goals (24), assists (7), and points (31).
TRENDING NUMBERS
- 7 - Four different Bonnies have recorded seven-point games this season. Fiona McGovern, Rylee Gonzalez, Brooke Piper, and Tori Nascimento have all recorded seven-point games for the Brown and White. Piper and Nascimento both scored six goals in their seven-point games, the first six-goal games from a Bonnie since McGovern did it twice in 2023.
- 22 – Bona's 22 goals at Rhode Island was their most ever in an Atlantic 10 contest and tied for second most in any game in program history. The most goals scored by the Bonnies in a single game came against Niagara in 2006 when they put up 24. Bona's also scored 22 in a 2003 meeting with Binghamton.
- 5 - McGovern is three points away from entering the top-five on Bona's all-time points leaderboard. The senior has accumulated 179 points in 57 games played and currently sits at sixth all-time in program history. With three more points, McGovern will pass Molly Hastrich, '10, and enter the top five.

ABOUT RICHMOND
- The preseason Atlantic 10 favorite Spiders are coached by Anne Harrington in her third season at the helm. Prior to being named head coach, she was a part of the staff for six years, including the 2022 season as an interim head coach. She has a 48-19 record in her time leading the squad, and last year she brought the squad to the NCAA Tournament after collecting its second consecutive A-10 title.
- The Spiders have begun the season with a 4-5 overall record and a 2-1 record in conference play. Richmond picked up a win to start conference play over George Mason before falling to Davidson. They come off a 19-3 win vs La Salle last Saturday.
- Richmond leads the all-time series history at 19-2, with SBU's last win coming in 2006.
- The Spiders share the ball effectively as they rank 13th in the nation in assists per game (7.4). They also clear the ball as well as anyone in the A-10, pacing the conference and ranking 26th in the country with a 90.7 percent clear percentage.
- Senior attacker Colleen Quinn has totaled 44 points and 30 goals, both good for team leads. She also has assisted on 14 goals and has collected 12 groundballs. The veteran ranks 14th in the nation in points and 20th in goals.
- Sophomore goalie Abby Francoli has started all nine contests between the posts and made 67 saves on the year with a .435 save percentage.
- The Spiders boast four players with 20 or more draw controls: senior midfielders Caroline Murphy and Hannah Custer, senior defender Clare McCooe, and junior midfielder Victoria Rankin
