WASHINGTON, D.C. – Two St. Bonaventure men's swimmers were named to the Atlantic 10 Conference All-Academic Team, league officials announced Tuesday. Senior
Alexander Behr earned his third consecutive selection to the All-Academic Team while grad transfer
Aidan Kreiley joined him as a first-time selection.
Behr has been stellar in the classroom and in the pool throughout his four years with the program. The senior physics major has a 3.909 cumulative GPA, earned a silver medal, and set three individual program records this season.
Behr won a silver medal in the 200-butterfly at A-10 Championships, setting a new program fastest time of 1:43.80.
He established two other Bona's program-best times at the meet in the 100-butterfly (46.94) and 200-freestyle (1.35.83).
The German product also placed fifth in the 100-butterfly and 100-backstroke (47.81) at championships.
Kreiley was a difference maker for the Bonnies in the pool and the classroom, recording a 3.800 GPA while pursuing his masters degree in sports administration.
The Dansville, N.Y. native earned Atlantic 10 Champion honors in the 100-breaststroke. His gold medal time of 53.30 set a new program top mark. He also won a bronze medal in the 200-breaststroke, setting another school record time of 1:56.94.
Kreiley was an Atlantic Coast Conference All-Academic Team member in his senior season at Louisville last year before joining the Bonnies.
Both Behr and Kreiley aided in the new program record time of 3:11.86 in the 400-medley relay.
