ST. BONAVENTURE (9-7, 5-4 A-10) at GEORGE WASHINGTON (8-8, 2-7 A-10)
Saturday, April 26 – 12:00 p.m.
Washington, D.C.
TV: ESPN+

The St. Bonaventure women's lacrosse team is set to conclude the regular season Saturday at George Washington. Opening draw is set for 12:00 p.m. on ESPN+

LAST TIME OUT
The Bonnies fell to Massachusetts last Saturday in their home finale, 20-13. Fiona McGovern tallied six points on three goals and three assists while Brooke Piper added four goals and an assist.

ATLANTIC 10 TOURNAMENT
The Bonnies have clinched a spot in the Atlantic 10 Tournament for the second time in three years. Massachusetts clinched the regular season title after last weekend's win, improving to 9-0 in A-10 play. Saint Joseph's (8-1), Davidson (7-2), and Richmond (7-2) have also clinched spots in the tournament.

Rhode Island and VCU both have 4-5 conference records and will meet on Saturday, determining the sixth and final playoff team.

PROLIFIC PIPER
With four goals against UMass, Piper matched Bona's single-season goals record of 62 set by Molly Hastrich in 2009. Coming into the weekend, Piper is 11th in Division I in goals per game, averaging 3.88, and eighth in total goals. Piper's 71 points are tied for the third most in a single season. She matched Hastrich's Atlantic 10 leading mark in the 2010 season. The program single-season points record is 77, also set by Hastrich in 2009.

GOALS GALORE
As a team, the Bonnies are 15 goals away from scoring their most ever in a single season. The previous record of 229 was set in 2004. In 2004, the Bonnies scored 10 or more goals in all but one regular season contest, and were held to just seven goals in a 12-7 loss to Duquesne in the A-10 Tournament.

WINNING WAYS
The Bonnies have secured their first winning season since 2007, and if they secure another win on Saturday will have 10 wins in a season for the first time since 2006. A win over GW would also give the teams their most A-10 wins ever, with six.

FAMILIAR FACES
Bona's head coach LeighAnn Stauffer meets a familiar foe this weekend. Stauffer spent the 2021 and 2022 season as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at GW.

ABOUT GW
  • The Revolutionaries are 8-8 on the season and 2-7 in Atlantic 10 games. Their conference wins are over George Mason and La Salle.
  • GW is one of the best teams in the A-10 at clearing the ball with a .911 clear percentage. They sit behind Davidson who clears the ball at a .912 clip.
  • The Revolutionaries and the Bonnies defenses both allow just 10.75 goals per contest, tied for fourth best in the A-10.
  • Grad student Kate Fullowan leads the Revs in scoring with 44 points (37G-7A).
  • Gabi Greth plays a majority of minutes in cage for the Revolutionaries, posting a .442 save percentage and 10.83 goals against average.
  • In A-10 games, Grace Curry has led the charge offensively with 22 goals.
SERIES HISTORY
George Washington leads the all-time series 16-6. Last season, the Bonnies secured a 14-7 win over the Revolutionaries at home, their first win over GW since 2016. Bona's has never won at George Washington.
