Colangelo, Piper Selected To A-10 Women's Lacrosse All-Conference Preseason Team; Bonnies Picked Fourth in Coaches Poll

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The St. Bonaventure women's lacrosse team was selected fourth in the Atlantic 10 Preseason Poll with seniors Brit Colangelo and Brooke Piper being picked to the preseason All-Conference Team, A-10 officials announced Friday.

The Bonnies received a first-place vote, finishing just outside the top three of Richmond, Saint Joseph's and Davidson, in that order. The team improved upon last year's sixth-place selection which stood for its best preseason ranking in a decade.

Colangelo was one of four defenders to be named to the team, earning her second preseason distinction in a row. A two-time All-Conference First Team selection, the Scarborough, Ontario native is coming off a season in which she led the Bonnies in groundballs (45) and caused turnovers (34). Those figures were good for the third most groundballs in the conference and the fourth-most caused turnovers in a single season in program history.

Other defenders selected were Stella Ray of George Washington, Reagan Quinn of Richmond and Claire Fowler of Saint Joseph's.

Piper earned the honor as a midfielder for the second straight year after a 2025 season in which she set single-season program records for goals (68), points (78) and draw controls (84). She ranked second in the A-10 in goals and was selected to the All-Conference First Team for her efforts, improving upon a 2024 selection to the Second Team.

Other midfielders earning preseason distinction were Allie Hartnett of Davidson and Bridget Lonsinger of Richmond.

The Bonnies open the 2026 season at home on Feb. 7 as they host Colgate at 11 a.m.
