ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. - Honors continue to roll in for St. Bonaventure men's lacrosse junior
Jaxon Dillon as he has been named to the USILA National Team of the Week, officials announced Wednesday.
Dillon captured Atlantic 10 Offensive Player of the Week accolades earlier this week after tying a school record with six goals in Bona's game last weekend at Delaware. His six tallies represent the most goals by any Atlantic 10 player this season.
Nine of Dillon's 10 shot attempts were on net and he rounded out an all-around performance with two groundballs as well as a caused turnover.
He became the fourth player in Bonnies Division I history to score six goals in a game.
For the year, Dillon has set career highs in goals (17), assists (9) and points (26) as well as groundballs (16).
Dillon joins goalies Michael Allieri of Boston and Jon Singer of Hofstra, defender Cullen Brown of Ohio State, midfielder Cullen Decker of Vermont, attackmen Owen Kovacs (Bucknell), Colin Michener (Villanova) and Scott Conte (Delaware) as well as faceoff specialist Brady Wambach of North Carolina on this week's USILA Team of the Week.
The British Columbia native is the second Bonnies player to be honored by the USILA with national accolades this season, joining teammate
Cole Kucinski who earned the nod earlier this spring.
St. Bonaventure wraps up its season Friday night by hosting Hobart at the Marra Athletics Complex at 7 p.m.
