#Bonnies Drop A Pair Of Games On Opening Day

BUIS CREEK, N.C. – The St. Bonaventure softball team struggled on the mound on opening day, dropping both games at Campbell by a total score of 19-5. The Bonnies opened up with a 10-5 loss to Seton Hall before being no-hit by Campbell in the evening contest, losing 9-0.

Ashley Snider and Jessenia Andujar, batting in the three and four holes, each collected a pair of hits in the season-opening tilt with Seton Hall. The pair drove in a run each. Hali Enderby drove in two runs of her own, going one for three at the plate.

Sophomore Julia Pratt started the game on the mound for the Brown and White. She did not give up an earned run in her 3.2 innings on the mound but errors cost the Bonnies four runs. Freshman Alexis Sloat relieved Pratt and gave up six earned runs, eight total over the final 3.1 innings.

Seton Hall's Destaso drove in seven run on 5-5 from the plate to lead the Pirates past the Bonnies.

In the evening tilt with Campbell, Carly Bilchak took the mound and gave up five earned runs in 0.2 innings pitched. Alexis Sloat took over and gave up four earned in the remaining 3.1 innings.

Campbell's Julia Callicutt tossed five scoreless innings without allowing a hit to claim the 9-0 victory.

The Bonnies are back in action tomorrow morning at 9:00 a.m. when they square off with Robert Morris. They will take the field again in the evening with Virginia at 6:20 p.m.
