The Short Story:
The St. Bonaventure men's soccer team came up short on Sunday, Sept. 28 against the Bowling Green Falcons, 1-0. The Bonnies played the Falcons tough, but a late goal gave Bowling Green the one-goal victory.

The first half of the match was primarily played throughout the midfield as each team was unable to get anything started. Both the Bonnies and the Falcons had chances, but nothing that tested the goalkeepers. St. Bonaventure and Bowling Green finished the half with six shots, apiece.

At the 72nd minute mark, Bowling Green was finally able to put something together and score against the Bonnies, but due to an offsides call against the Falcons the goal would be disallowed.

Two minutes later, St. Bonaventure's Garrett Pasono made a stellar defensive play against Joe Sullivan. Pasono made a slide tackle inside the box that pushed the ball forward to Jeremy Figler and away from Sullivan.

In the 77th minute, Bowling Green's Sullivan broke the tie as he received the pass from Pat Flynn and blasted the ball into the upper left corner of the net.

The Bonnies had their chances in the final ten minutes, but were unsuccessful.
