ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Bonnies freshmen Adria Magnusson and Mia Winters each posted event wins with Winters setting another school record to highlight action for the St. Bonaventure women's indoor track team Friday night at RIT.

Winters broke her own school record in the 3000 meters which she set just six days prior. Friday night, she triumphed in the 3000-meter race with a winning mark of 11:02.68 and the fastest time of 21 competitors in the event. That time bests her time of 11:03.36 run last Saturday in Brockport.

Bona's freshmen continued to show well in the 3000 as fellow first-year runner Helena Roy set another personal record as well, finishing third in the race at 11:08.22, more than three seconds faster than the time she previously stood second in the school record books with. Another freshman, Molly Gipson placed fifth in the race with a time of 11:11.23 and another PR mark as she will jump to third individually in program history. Junior Emily Peterson improved her previous best from last year by 11 seconds as she crossed the stripe in 11:19.57, good for seventh in the event Friday evening and fifth in the program records.

Another standout Bona's freshman, Adria Magnusson was the winner in the 800 meters as she led the field by over two seconds with the winning mark of 2:28.45. Already the school record holder in the event with her time set last weekend, Magnusson beat 30 other competitors for the victory.

In the 1000, freshman Georgia Hanley ran the fastest time for the Bonnies in that event this season at 3:32.95, fourth in the program record books.

In the mile, Roy showed the way for the Bonnies at 5:31.50 to place third out of 35 runners. Freshman Claire Cuneo (5:42.52) and junior Olivia Ippolito (5:48.86) also posted new top-10 program times.

St. Bonaventure has one more tune-up before the Atlantic 10 Championships as they compete at Cornell next Saturday, Feb. 18.
