Welcome to "Behind The Bonnies," a new GoBonnies.com series where we get to know the student-athletes at St. Bonaventure University. In this edition, we meet Bonnies junior Faith Caldwell. Click here for previous installments in the series. 

Faith Caldwell has been one of St. Bonaventure's most consistent runners since joining the program in 2022, competing in the Atlantic 10 Championships five of possible seven seasons since she has been with the Bonnies.

During her freshman year, Caldwell ran at the Atlantic 10 Cross Country Championships, running a time of 20:32.5. Later in the year, she appeared in the A-10 Outdoor Championships, competing in the 1500 meters where she ran a time of 5:10.48.

During her sophomore year, Caldwell qualified for the A-10 Indoor Championships for the first time in the 800 where she ran a time of 2:28.11. Later in the year she qualified once again for the A-10 Outdoor Championships in the 800, running a time of 2:29.29.

So far during her junior season, Caldwell has ran in all five of the Bonnies cross country races while representing the Bonnies at the A-10 Cross Country Championships in November. 

A native of Grand Island, N.Y., she set her high school's track record in the 1000 meters, 4x8 and helped her teams to two sectional championships in Section VI cross country. She also played softball and was part of cheer and dance teams prior to Bonaventure.

What is your favorite hobby to do outside of playing your sport? Nature walks or shopping

Where is your dream vacation spot? Hawaii 

What is the best part about being a part of your Bonnies team? The family aspect 

What is your favorite sports team and who is your favorite athlete? Buffalo Bills and Josh Allen

You can bring any four people to dinner, who are you inviting? My best friend, my teammate, my sister, my roommate 

Where is your favorite place you've traveled with the team? Virginia 

If you could live inside one TV show/movie what would it be? iCarly

What is your favorite account that you follow on social media? meme/comedy pages

If you weren't playing your sport, what other sport would you most like to play? Volleyball or pickleball 

Why did you choose St. Bonaventure? Community, campus, size, culture 

What is your favorite social media app and why? Tik Tok - it's distracting 

What is something you think most people don't know about your sport? It's more than running. There's lifting, yoga, mental aspects and more

What is your favorite class at SBU and why? Creative Writing Fiction - I love writing and being able to choose the topic
