LEWISBURG, Pa. – A new school record established by junior William McCarthy showed the way for the Bonnies mid-distance and distance squads at Saturday's Bucknell Outdoor Classic.

McCarthy set a new school record in the 3000-meter steeplechase with his performance of 9:28.33. With Saturday's race, he broke his own record of 9:31.61 which was established at last year's Atlantic 10 Outdoor Track Championships.

In mid-distance action, both Ryan Umiker and Aidan Hurley posted new personal bests with top-10 program times in the 800 meters.

Umiker ran third in his heat with a time of 1:56.86, remaining second in the program record book but besting his previous top effort of 1:57.06 posted at last year's A-10 Championships. Hurley, meanwhile, jumps to a tie for fourth in the Bona record book at 1:57.49.

Joshua Lopez recorded another new Bonnies top-10 time in the 1500 as he clocked in at 4:06.80, good for seventh individually in program history.

For the 5000 meters, Casey Malloy led the Bonnies with his run of 15:32.64 to place 20th in Saturday's meet out of 38 runners. Behind him, freshman Alexander Rennick leaped into the program top-10 with his time of 15:36.02 to stand 10th individually in school history.
