AMHERST, Mass. – The St. Bonaventure men's track team posted five new school record times out of seven events the squad competed in to complete the season at the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Track Championships held at the University of Massachusetts Saturday and Sunday.

Freshman Christian Figueroa established a new school record in the 400 meters to begin the weekend Saturday. The first-year Bonnies athlete ran a time of 51.98, breaking the previous Bonaventure record time of 52.10 which had stood since 1980 when Ron DeAngelo posted that mark. Figueroa's effort was easily better than his past PR of 52.68 set in the regular season finale just one week ago.

Fellow freshman Aiden Scattergood ran another program-best time in the 800 meters. Scattergood broke his own school record time set a week previously by over a second as he crossed the stripe in 1:55.75, finishing 20th in the 33-competitor field.

Junior Zane Courtwright also ran a personal best time of 1:57.49, good for the second-fastest individual time in program history for the 800. Also in the event, junior Kieran Ryan set a PR as well at 1:58.70 just behind teammate Brian Gleason (1:58.47).

Senior Darion Gregory wrapped up his excellent Bonnies career with a top-10 finish in the 3000-meter steeplechase. He finished the race in 9:48.43 to place 10th overall.

On Sunday, Scattergood set another school record with his effort in the 1500 meters. He closed his freshman season by clocking in at 4:00.04, breaking the previous school record by over four seconds and besting his own PR time by more than nine seconds.

Courtwright also PR'ed at 4:04.88 in the 1500, jumping to third on the program record board. Gleason ran his personal best time as well in the event at 4:08.37 with another Bona's top-10 mark.

In the Bonnies' final individual event of the weekend, sophomore Clay Peets scored the best A-10 Championships finish in the 5000 meters in school history with another record time. Peets finished ninth out of 35 competitors with a time of 14:41.09. That effort cleared his previous school record time by over 12 seconds.

Freshman Casey Malloy also registered a top-10 Bonnies time in the 5000 at 16:06.12, a PR time by nearly 20 seconds.

The Bonnies closed the weekend with yet another school record as the 4x800 relay team of Gleason, Scattergood, Ryan and Wyatt Hulsey finished with a time of 8:15.11. That effort beats the old school record which was set in the team's first-ever A-10 Outdoor Track Championships in 2017 by over 10 seconds.

In all, nine of Bona's 12 competitors who qualified for the conference championships ran personal best times.
