One of coach Jim Baron’s first recruits, Shandue McNeill was the first in a long line of great point guards that played for the Brown and White since the early 90s.

McNeill made an immediate impact in his first season with the Bonnies and was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie team. One year later, he helped lead St. Bonaventure to its first postseason appearance in 12 years, an NIT berth that resulted in a win over Southern Mississippi at the Reilly Center.

The only player in program history to lead the team in assists four-straight seasons, McNeill broke career records for assists (616) and steals (281), while scoring 1,049 points. McNeil was named to the A-10 All-Defensive team as a senior and was a three-time Academic All-Conference selection.
