Hall of Fame
A member of Bona's Junior National Cross Country Championship team and the Senior National Cross Country second place team (1926).
He was the Junior A.A.U. Champion in the 6-mile run (1928), and Senior A.A.U. Champion four times (1929, 1931, 1933, 1939).
He won the National A.A.U. 20 kilometer race (1933,1938), and the 30 kilometer race (1934, 1939).
He was a member of the 1932 U.S. Olympic Team, qualifying in the 10,000 meters.Â
Track and field coach at Pensacola Junior College for 18 years, his teams won five state cross country championships.
He is a member of Helm’s Hall of Fame for track and field athletes, he was also elected to the Track Road Runners Hall of Fame.
