Delmar Harrod ranks as one of the most complete all-around players statistically in Bonnies men's basketball history.

He graduated with 1,378 career points despite sharing the court with fellow Hall of Fame members Greg Sanders, Essie Hollis, Earl Belcher and Glenn Hagan during his Bonaventure career.

Called by legendary coach Jim Satalin as 'one of the best forwards to ever play at SBU,' he was on the roster for the 1977 NIT Champions as well as the 1978 NCAA Tournament and 1979 NIT squads including a 13-point effort vs. Penn in the '78 NCAA tourney.

One of seven players to record over 1,300 points and 700 rebounds in a Bonaventure uniform, he shares that distinction with program greats Bob Lanier, Andrew Nicholson, Essie Hollis, Fred Crawford, Glenn Price and George Carter – all Bonnies Hall of Fame members.

At the time of his induction in 2025, Harrod continued to stand fourth in the Bonaventure career record book for field goal percentage (55.4%), ninth in rebounds (739), and 22nd in scoring (1,378). He played in 113 career games between 1976-80, tied for 21st in program history.

He is also remembered for hitting two of the most clutch shots in program history: a top-of-the-key bucket over Syracuse's Roosevelt Bouie while Bona was down a point to send the Bonnies to the ECAC Tournament finals and onto NCAAs as well as a full-court buzzer-beater at Niagara which helped Bona to another postseason berth.
