Jerry Hanifin starred for St. Bonaventure University’s football teams (1949-1951).
A broken field runner of note, he ranked third in the east in total yards all three years at St. Bonaventure.
He rankedf first in the east in yards per carry (8.2) in 1950, while establishing the all-time St. Bonaventure University season rushing record (702 yards) that same year.
In 1950 he returned a kickoff 105 yards for a touchdown against St. Vincent.
