St. Bonaventure

The head football coach of Ithaca College (1931-1946), he was also Ithaca’s head baseball coach (1932-1965). Freeman’s baseball teams were 283-83 (.769).

He took Ithaca to the NCAA playoffs four times (1955, 1959, 1962, 1964) and the 1962 team to the College World Series.
Named District Coach of the Year (1962), he was elected to the College Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame (1969).
