St. Bonaventure

John Kopcienski is one of the top swimmers in St. Bonaventure program history, and he helped set the standard of excellence the swim program now holds.

A freestyle specialist, Kopcienski broke school records in 21 individual and seven relay events.

In his senior season he topped his own Bona records in the 100, 200, and 500-freestyles and won Eastern Intercollegiate titles in the 200-free and as part of the 400-free relay.

Kopcienski’s times in the 100, 200, and 1650 still rank in the top five in school history.
