One of 26 players in St. Bonaventure men's basketball history to surpass 1,000 career points and 500 total rebounds, Cyrus stands as one of the best defensive players in Bonnies program history and was key to multiple memorable teams.

Cyrus graduated with 1,121 points, a total that stands  35th in the school record book as of his induction. He also ranks 17th in rebounding with 680 boards as of 2026 while his 289 blocks long stood as the program benchmark and a total that still ranks second among all Bonaventure players.

A fierce defender, he was a three-time selection to the Atlantic 10 All-Defensive Team, one of only three Bonnies to achieve that feat, and his 99 swats in 1997-98 set the Bona single season record which still stands.

He was a force on the offensive end as well, posting double-digit scoring in three of his four seasons.

Cyrus was also an integral part of two Bonnies postseason teams, first helping the program to the 1998 NIT before serving as a key figure on the 2000 NCAA Tournament squad.

In one of the most memorable games in program history, Cyrus hauled in 18 rebounds during the 2000 NCAA Tournament contest vs. Kentucky, second-most in Bonnies NCAA tourney history behind only the great Bob Lanier's 19 vs. N.C. State during the program's 1970 Final Four run.
